Dear Mozaic Community,
Eid Mubarak! Our hearts are still full from the incredible energy, generosity, and connection we witnessed throughout Ramadan. Together, we made a powerful impact—and we couldn’t have done it without you. Here’s a look back at the many ways we served, connected, and celebrated this blessed season:
Ramadan Bazaar: Uplifting Women and Refugees
In late February, we kicked off the Ramadan season with our Ramadan Bazaar, a vibrant event that celebrated and highlighted refugee-owned and female-owned small businesses. Community members came out to shop with purpose, support local entrepreneurs, and get ready for Ramadan while strengthening bonds with one another.
Supporting Families
During Ramadan, we successfully raised funds to support 10 families — providing rent assistance to some, and offering others access to vocational training and entrepreneurship courses. Thanks to your generosity, these families are taking meaningful steps toward stability and self-sufficiency.
Food & Hygiene Boxes
With the help of volunteers from IMF, we packed and distributed food boxes and hygiene kits to 70 families across Northern Virginia—serving communities in Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Springfield, Sterling, Herndon, Reston, Leesburg, Ashburn, Woodbridge, and Falls Church. Thank you to all donors and our dedicated volunteers who made this possible! Thank you to Cozmo One for offering a discount on all international items.

Meals on Wheels: Feeding Families with Love
This Ramadan we distributed 200 hot meals and 200 hygiene kits to refugee families and families in need.
Thanks to our volunteers from Micron, who helped distribute to Sterling, Reston, Herndon, Fairfax and Ashburn. Mozaic volunteers also distributed hot meals and hygiene kits to beneficiary families in Leesburg and Fairfax.
Shoutout to Sauson Restaurant (Sterling) for preparing the delicious meals and to Dar Al Mustafa Food Bank for gifting families with fresh grapes and dates.
Mozaic Grand Qiyam: A Night of Worship and Sisterhood
Our Annual Mozaic Grand Qiyam brought together more than 150 women for a powerful night of reflection, prayer, and community.
A heartfelt thank you to our gracious host for opening her space, and to our incredible youth reciters who led us so beautifully in worship.
Spreading Joy for Eid
Thanks to your support, we ensured that Eid was a time of happiness and comfort:
- Eid gifts were delivered to 25 families in Alexandria, Arlington, Falls Church and Woodbridge.
- A family’s home was furnished on the eve of Eid, just in time for them to celebrate with dignity and warmth
- Several donors stepped forward to donate diapers, baby wipes and gifts for a single mom who welcomed her second child at the beginning of Ramadan. A special Ramadan pack was also prepared for her older daughter – filled with activity books! The gifts brought them relief and joy!
- Almost 200 refugees who are spending their very first Eid in the US came together to celebrate Eid with Mozaic where their children were treated to gifts donated and wrapped by students of Aya Montessori using Eid-themed gift wrappers by Mubarak Paper Co. Volunteers provided fun-filled activities including diamond art by Kandeely, while parents mingled and strengthened social connections. Guests enjoyed a hearty lunch, tea from Cha Streetfood, halal pastries from Paris Baguette (Herndon) and yummy ice-cream. Thanks to our sponsors: Ocean Academy, Penny Appeal, and Adams Center.
Thank You!
Every smile, every prayer, every gift, and every meal was made possible by you—our community of volunteers, donors, and supporters.
As we continue our work into the year, we invite you to stay connected. Let’s keep building together.
With gratitude,
The Mozaic Team
