Mozaic: Community Partner for RPCP Program with IRC

Starting May 2024, Mozaic is happy to announce its partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) as a Refugee Placement Community Partner (RPCP). As a dedicated advocate for refugee support and integration, Mozaic will collaborate with IRC to provide essential services to newly resettled refugees. Our role in the RPCP program includes offering comprehensive assistance that encompasses housing support, employment resources, educational opportunities, social integration activities, and guidance in accessing government refugee programs.
Mozaic’s mission is to empower refugees by facilitating their transition into new communities, helping them build stable and self-sufficient lives. With a focus on holistic support, Mozaic will leverage its extensive network and expertise to ensure that refugees receive the care and resources they need to thrive.

Services Provided by Mozaic for RPCP Sponsorship

Mozaic is dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition for newly arrived refugee families. Our comprehensive support services include:

Furniture Collection and Moving:

  • Collecting furniture and moving it to a warehouse.
  • Transporting furniture from the warehouse to the rental property.

Healthcare

  • Making doctor’s appointments and ensuring healthcare needs are met.
  • Providing transportation to medical appointments.

Airport Welcome:

  • Welcoming the family at the airport.
  • Preparing a meal for the new family upon arrival.

Errands and Applications:

  • Providing transportation to run errands and complete government applications.

Home Visits and Safety:

  • Conducting home visits.
  • Performing safety checklists to ensure the home is secure.

Education and School Enrollment:

  • Assisting with school enrollment for children.
  • Providing ESL and tutoring services for kids.

Donations

  • Organizing cell phone and computer donations for the family.
  • Encourage the community to donate to Mozaic Refugee Fund.

Credential Evaluation and Career Support:

  • Assisting with certificate and credential evaluations.
  • Mentoring refugees through financial literacy sessions.
  • Creating CVs.
  • Mentoring career development workshops.
  • Job search support.

Housing Assistance:

  • Communicating with landlords to lease apartments to newly arrived refugees.
  • Providing Promissory note to the leasing management.

Translation and Interpretation:

  • Offering translation and interpretation services.

Government Benefits:

  • Applying for government benefits such as Medicaid, Refugee Cash Assistance, SNAP, and SSI.

Integration Support:

  • Providing advice and support for integrating into the community.
